My leading engineering and manufacturing client is looking for a customer Coordinator to join their team based in Gillingham on a permanent. The customer coordinator will be the primary contact for the customer or several customers. Ensure good communication between the customer and manufacturing or material controllers to dispatch goods on time and accurately.
CUSTOMER COORDINATOR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Management of several External Customers
Receiving and reviewing schedules from the customer
Loading of EDI schedules from the customers and producing comparison reports.
Produce the picklists for the warehouse.
Arrange and prioritise outgoing shipments, Sea/Air/Other with the customers freight company or our own.
Chasing Manufacturing or the Material Controllers to reduce Arrears/Backorders
Liaise with Component stores and Warehouse personnel to understand any delays or lead times of Product being made available.
Produce recovery plans to the customer where Manufacturing output/Supplier deliveries are not satisfactory.
Update daily reports on sales/inventory and goods inwards receiving.
Lean Manufacturing/ material movement awareness.
Production Control Experience
Advanced Excel skills
Good proficiency of AS400 and/or SAP and/or Business Objects.
Knowledge of AS400 File Transfers
Degree in Business Administration or Business Management, or equivalent
Mechanical engineering apprenticeship
Flexible and adaptable approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good organisational skills, including attention to detail
Self-motivated and have a strong and flexible attitude towards work
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines when required
The ability to prioritise and organise own workload
