Our client are a dynamic company that provides Engineering Consultancy and Design Services to organisations in the energy sector and are looking for an electrical engineer to join their established team.
As an Electrical Engineer you will be required to undertake an Electrical design role on high pressure pipeline and plant systems, working to high engineering standards within the budgets and timescales set by our clients. The successful electrical engineer will be enthusiastic and conscientious about the work you produce, leading by example with good attention to detail. You will have the ability to learn quickly and work methodically under your own initiative and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also have awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures relating to design and construction activities.
Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years’experience working within utility, pipeline or related industries, and have good working knowledge of the applicable design codes including BS7671 – electrical wiring regulations and British Standards. You will have gained at least a 2:1 (Upper Second–Class honours) in an Electrical Engineering degree and be registered with an appropriate institution. You also will have obtained or be working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.
In addition, it would be advantageous if you had C&G 2396 electrical design qualification and knowledge / experience of the following.
ATEX / DSEAR Compliance
Formal Process Safety Assessments i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, HAZCON, SWDS
Safety Integrity (BS EN 61508 / BS EN 61511)
The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out Instrumentation designs, and a knowledge of instrumentation systems would be an advantage.
