Estimator – Fencing/ Landscape/ Groundworks

My client are one of the UKs leading groundworks and landscaping contractors, and work on many of the UKs leading infrastructure projects with other leading organisations. Delivering the highest standard quality of work is of the upmost importance, interested? Read on!

 This position will be largely working from home, the client have offices in various locations across the UK so in the near future there will also be the possibility to work from one of these. 20% of your time will be spent “in the field” with client/ stakeholder meetings or attending site visits. 

Overview:

The position of Estimator will be based from home, with site projects across various areas of the UK; including Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire to name a few. Two of the key projects are currently with Highways England and HS2 so any prior experience working with these organisations or on similar projects would be great to see!

The overall objective of this position is to win new work in line with the client’s business requirements and provide competitive tender submissions, aiming to achieve excellent conversion rates.

The successful Estimator will meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience as an estimator within similar construction infrastructure and civil projects.
• Proven background in costing, tender management and understanding of frameworks.
• Track record of winning business and retaining accounts.
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Have excellent management skills, clear communication and English writing skills, attention to detail and drive excellence by the example you set.

The successful Estimator can expect to earn a base salary of £40,000, receive a twice annual bonus (This bonus continued un-affected throughout 2020), and a long list of further company benefits. The role will be 80% working from home, with 20% field based so my client are open minded on candidate locations within England!
