Head of Lettings Full Time Permanent

An exceptional, one off opportunity for a strong candidate to join an ever-growing, forward thinking letting agent within their Birmingham office as a Head of Lettings.

The successful Head of Lettings candidate will be well presented, experienced within Lettings and have the ability to lead a small team. You will be hardworking, enthusiastic, reliable and approachable. You must be a good communicator, willing to learn and able to win business using a persuasive and professional approach. You must have a good understanding of Birmingham and the surrounding area. 
 
The Head of Lettings candidate will have previous experience of conducting valuations, spotting opportunities for new business, ensuring compliance and be confident dealing with a wide array of people.  

This role will include all aspects of Lettings Management including valuations, building relationships by liaising with potential landlords and tenants, growing the division through providing exceptional levels of service, staff training and ensuring the company is presented in the best possible light. You will be pro-active in self-promotion and marketing and provide excellent customer service. The aim is to create a referral business and maintain clients-for-life business. 

Head of Lettings – Role Information

• Oversee management and guidance of lettings staff
• Chair morning meetings
• Maximising performance and client retention
• Ensuring targets/KPIs are met
• Spotting opportunities for new business and increasing ATB
• Adhering to lettings legislation and keeping up-to-date with compliance
• Maintain strong working relationships with allocated partner agents to maximise business potential
• Work closely with Marketing to ensure strong brand message so department has sufficient marketing collateral to assist with target hitting
• Responding to general queries from clients

Head of Lettings – Experience Needed

• Previous experience working in Lettings essential and experience running a department
• Previous experience managing a team essential
• Good working knowledge of lettings legislation
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
• Good eye for detail
• Friendly and cheerful disposition
• ARLA qualification desirable but not essential
• Able to demonstrate knowledge/experience of working within budgets

Head of Lettings – Package 

• £30,000 salary, £50,000 OTE
• Use of pool car
• Support with ARLA if not already held
• 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
• Company pension with contributions rising with service
