My clients located in Theale (Just outside of Reading) are looking for a Junior-Mid level IT Support specialist to join their team. Ideally a candidate who also has Junior-Mid level developer abilities with the technologies listed below. This position will work closely with clients in the initial phase of remote support, handle queries and problem solve where possible before ticket escalation. 1-2years experience either in an IT support focused position, or as a junior developer with the ambition to progress your technical skills into other areas.
Strong candidates will meet the following criteria:
1-2 years’ experience as a junior developer or in a 1st/2nd line support role.
Knowledge/ experience of both Windows and Linux environments.
Ability to handle multiple tickets and interact directly with clients taking a friendly approach and excellent customer service skills.
Good understanding of Software systems and varying technologies.
Willing to approach any situation that arises and find appropriate solutions.
As an IT support specialist you will:
Troubleshoot initial problems, raise tickets and find resolutions where possible.
Ensure that all issues are correctly recorded, keeping the clients’ needs as a core focus and attending to any requirements they may have.
Use a variety of technologies and tools to support clients.
Have the potential to learn new technologies, progress your career into either further technical support or towards software development (We encourage personal development and career progression!).
