Senior Estimator – Motherwell

Our client are one of the UKs leading Main contractors, delivering a wide range of projects varying in size, value and complexity. They are now looking for a Senior Estimator to join the Scotland commercial team, located from their office in Motherwell with hybrid working options.

You will get the opportunity to work on a range of projects, from smaller scale developments (0-£10m) up to £100m for major projects. You should have experience estimating both pre-construction and during delivery phases, being capable of handling tenders, obtaining competitive quotes, identifying risk and opportunity to win work.

Predominantly you will be working on commercial projects including new build and major refurbishments so showcasing prior experience of similar commercial projects would be great to see.

This role is a FTC with an expected duration of 12-15months however the team are regularly growing to support project requirements so further permanent opportunities within the team are not out of the question!   

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous demonstrable experience as an estimator, preferably in a senior position and having experience working for a contractor.
• Previous project experience on commercial new build and refurbishments varying in size and value.
• Experience of both pre-construction and delivery phase estimating duties.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision whilst balancing multiple projects at various stages.
• Demonstrate clear understanding of tender documentation, reporting, estimating, quotations and confident in the use of relevant estimating software.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Located within a commutable distance of Motherwell, hybrid working options are available but there will be the expectation for regular days in the office or at local sites per week.

Expected salary for this position is £60k-70k basic, generous car allowance, matched pension, private healthcare and more!
